Cathi's first mission trip was to Mexico about thirty years ago where she went with her parents. Although the trip was grueling, she fell in love with the people and ministering. She then traveled to Jamaica in 1997 with her church and her passion grew even more. Cathi traveled to El Salvador for the first time in 2007 with CLM and Mama Jean leading. She describes it as one of the best experiences of her life. She immediately knew she had a calling and began traveling every year -  sometimes up to three times a year. "My heart is tied to El Salvador. They have many needs but rarely complain. They show their love for us and it is so humbling." Cathi has been able to preach at numerous churches throughout the years and seen many miraculous things. "This is a ministry of generations. It started with my parents and has been passed down to me and my children, who also have a passion for missions in El Salvador." Cathi is the founder of the William McDonald Feed the Hungry Foundation and currently serves as President of Crucified Life Ministries.

Rafael Madrid

Rafael

MINISTRY DIRECTOR IN E.S.

Rafael began his missionary journey in the mid 1980s. Being born and raised in El Salvador he has seen the difficulties and struggles that are present in his country. During the country's civil war, Rafael and a team went out to preach in almost all of the Central American territory. He was part of a praise band that also went along and although this was a really dangerous time in the country, the Lord kept them safe wherever they went. Through the years Rafael has worked with many ministries such as Arise International Ministries, 5 Stones, La Atarraya Ministries, Kings Kids Ministries and many more. He met Mama Jean when she came in the early 2000s. "I was inspired to see her working; that she came with a group and I saw the love and dedication she had with people and especially with children in my country." In 2009, God gave a dream to Rafael and Cathi about a great need in El Salvador - food for families that really needed it. Once he realized that Cathi had the same dream, he knew it was from God. Together they founded The William McDonald Ministry to Feed the Hungry. Rafael serves as Director of Crucified Life Ministries in El Salvador and travels throughout the country hand delivering food to families in our ministry as well as many other responsibilities.

Through the years, she began assisting Mama Jean and her mother, Cathi, with the business side of the ministry. She also took over the ministry's Social Media pages and website. After having her daughter, Piper, in 2015 Lindsey had to take a step back from missions to raise her daughter. She still currently serves as a Board Member and plans to take her daughter to El Salvador one day.
